about

A song about US war policies through the years, and how wrong war is, and furthermore how the world deserves world-peace.
The line "Captured by our govt...." originally said "captured by Bush..."

lyrics

Intro:
Okay, so your answer to every single question in the chorus is most likely gonna be “no” unless you’re god.

Verse 1:
Does life have an end
When we go to war does anybody really win
When someone loses the one they love does that person really win
And when moms and dads lose their sons does that family really win

Hook 1:
Captured by our Govt and given a gun
18-25 years old as if 26 is too much
Sent out in a war with barely a past
And their eyes see no more and they leave no impact

Chorus:
Did you know that there mother’s son
Did you ever meet that there poor widows love
And did you know that that man’s boy died to save your life
He fought a battle the president made him fight

Verse 2:
If soldiers fought and won to save our lives
Why don’t I know the soldiers names the ones who fought for me and died
They tell us here at home that our soldiers are heroes but give us nothing to mourn just “soldier unknown”
We here in the US should cower in shame they tell us that we’re free and some of us believe
But lock up a child who says “no” to a draft when 18 in two weeks

Hook 2:
Do you feel it’s right for them to do that
Or to yank young men out of college to fight the world right
If you’re proud of that so called right then why do I Bradley try
They should draft you give your ass a surprise

Chorus:
Did you know that there mother’s son
Did you ever meet that there poor widows love
And did you know that that man’s boy died to save your life
He fought a battle the president made him fight

Outro:
Okay so I threw things a little out of proportion, but you get the point. War is bad!
