about

Back in the early 00's I wrote a song called "Coincidence." At the time it was one of my most loved songs... Something about the way I sang it so fastly... For this song I tried to recreate that same feeling. Furthermore this song talks more about that same story: Childhood love!

lyrics

Verse 1:
You were like a second half to me
And became my every single day
Our childhood together it was fate
My love for you it could never be faked
I made you my everything
Summer days seemed never ending
There was nothing we couldn’t take or make
For you I’d do anything
With you I always felt that I was free
Man I need some reciprocity
These thoughts of wonder I can’t shake
Then I realized all my mistakes

Hook:
I was the only one who ever fucking cared
I know now you were only told by your dad you must share

I’m not one to be happy
When you’re no longer there
And you only liked me cause you had to
And that makes it unfair

Chorus:
Where’d I get off
Thinkin’ I had love
After all I was
so very young
and I was being optimistic
And I hadn’t seen him
In so many years
I cried so many tears
And it was a coincidence that I found you
Only coincidence and nothing more
it was a coincidence that I found you
Only coincidence and nothing more

Verse 2:
You were like a dream come true for me
Now you’re just a distant memory
A memory that slaps me in my face
Sometimes in the midst of peaceful day
I gave you this power over me
Thinkin’ I’d have your love totally
But I was wrong you’re not my fate
I don’t even crave you any more that way
I declared to you that I was gay
But it doesn’t bother me at all these days
My lingering mind was held with pace
I now know I was just your phase

Hook:
I was the only one who ever fucking cared
I know now you were only told by your dad you must share

I’m not one to be happy
When you’re no longer there
And you only liked me cause you had to
And that makes it unfair

Chorus:
Where’d I get off
Thinkin’ I had love
After all I was
so very young
and I was being optimistic
And I hadn’t seen him
In so many years
I cried so many tears
And It was a coincidence that I found you
Only coincidence and nothing more
It was a coincidence that I found you
Only coincidence and nothing more
