about

Heard a poem a guy wrote spoken aloud. Was so good (and by good I mean haunting) I had to turn it into a song.

lyrics

Verse 1:
Pill after pill there was no change still
So they dispensed me to death with all of these pills
all that was left was my body
A body immune to all senses

Chorus:
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But too numb to take a shot fuck my life
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But the afterlife’s on my mind

Verse 2:
I can’t believe this is happening to me
"I don't think that I am supposed to be here"
Are the only words that are left here to string
I feel my hand reaching for a trigger that’s near

Chorus:
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But too numb to take a shot fuck my life
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But the afterlife’s on my mind

Bridge:
No no no no no no no no-ho no no no no no no...
Pill after pill
Still I am here the same

Chorus:
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But too numb to take a shot fuck my life
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But the afterlife’s on my mind

Chorus:
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But too numb to take a shot fuck my life
You'll see me at times one hand on the gun
But the afterlife’s on my mind

Bradley Voorhees East Syracuse, New York

Who doesn't enjoy an interesting indie artist? Am I good, am I bad? Who knows. Guess we'll all have to wait and see. Yes, "we" 'cause not even I know myself anymore. I think that really comes out in the tunes though. Who knows, perhaps it may be you who can help solve a mystery? Yeah, I like a lot of retro television :D But I'll be there for you, if you're there for me too! Ha ... more
