about

This is my song y'all. I wrote it, I sang it, and I posed on the cover. Tipping my hat to my favorite R&B/Pop girl group of ALL TIME - not just the 90s, but ALL time. If you're in the TLC army and dig this song, please send along to the girls! We need to get them back in the game. And not all that half as BS - I'm talkin center-stage again! The talk of the town again! It CAN BE done... specially now-days with the internet... Wouldn't this song make an excellent comeback song for them? It makes several references to pop culture and the girls point out the obvious: That they're older, and probably not all the way up to par with the new slangs of our world. It's an Eminem tactic. Point out your own shortcomings so that no one else will sound right when they try to. I pasted the lyrics here too, but do me a favor... Listen to the track first, and as you listen, try to guess who is who, because the lyrics read like a script: Both girls have their own lines to sing/say, and I want you to see if you can guess who I imitated in the song ha! Anyway the one thing I battled with hardcore was the mock single cover... Regarding LLL - RIP... It's a touchy subject not just among fans, but families... Sooo it took me hours to do the cover... What do you think? Did I make the right choice? There were so many ways I could have posted, but I settled on what's posted rather than the alternatives. Why? Because I thought too much (an actual photo) could be misread as many different things. To name a couple, oh TB and C are money hungry and doing it for that reason, and from the entertainment industry perspective, TLC has to sort of re-introduce themselves to an all new generation of people, and when those newbies see 3 people on a cover, they gonna expect to get to know the girl, but where is she??? Okay, so I coulda made the cover go completely the opposite and not make reference to LLL at all... But felt that too would be in poor taste. So I settled on the middle. Subtle, but not direct. Seem fair? I hope so, cause I sure had a hell of a time putting the cover together... Anyway, if you listen to this song a couple times on repeat believe me you will be singing it in the shower, and in the car, and on the bus, and walking... I swear to goodness... Trust that boy!!

Okay I been typing this for so long my hands is numb! So lemmy just point out one more thing: This song is original, I made it all up, but doesn't it have a sort of familiar vibe? That my friends is good thinking. It's what made them guys blow the fluck up who sing "Toniiiiighhhttt, we arrreeee youuuunnnng" (name escapes me) Because when I heard that song on the radio all the time, I felt like I'd heard it before. So I came home and googled it. But sure enough, it was original. So I thought about it... And I concluded that it wasn't that I'd heard the song, but that I'd heard a song of a genre that we only ever hear because of our parents music preferences! Isn't that fucking epic!? So I became obsessed with them, solely because of the familiarity of that song... So what'd I do? I tried to give the song a familiar feel... So I chose a cross between 60s and 70s... I dunno bout y'all, but if they used this song, and we heard it done by them and played on the radio - we would get our girls back to the top again!!!

Ok I'm done yacking now. Promise! BTW TBoz, if you come across this, try hard and you'll remember me as that goofy gay guy on youtube in a half shirt singing all ur songs ha!

lyrics

Intro:
Both:
Ouu yeah.
Chilli:
Girl this is really retro.
Tboz:
Yeah

Verse 1:
Tboz:
All the loneliness
inside of me
made me run to you
but what’d I see
Chilli:
Yo just another scrub
jus like I warned y’all of
boy you know you ain’t changed

Both Chorus:
And I still don’t wanna taste your love
those waterfalls is all dried up and gone
it’s like Mary J Blige said “I don’t want no drama”
and you’re still trying to kick that game with me
It’s a new decade and I ain’t the same
So you best get outta my face
Chilli:
Wait girl do they even still say that?

Verse 2:
Tboz:
Yo, turn the redlights off
it’s time to go home
it’s time to move on
not get your groove on
Chilli:
like ou yeah yeah ou yeah yeah ou yeah yeah
Tboz:
Girl, that’s sick. No no no no no

Both Chorus:
still don’t wanna taste your love
those waterfalls is all dried up and gone
it’s like Mary J Blige said “I don’t want no drama”
and you’re still trying to kick that game with me
It’s a new decade and I ain’t the same
So you best get outta my face
Chilli:
“outta my face” I don’t think they say that anymore. Freal.

Bridge:
Chilli:
Ou I like this. This is really tight. Smooth.
Tboz:
Yeah like peaceful.
Chilli:
you know she woulda liked this right?
Tboz
Yeah she woulda. But you know what, even still.,. {Enter Chorus followed by infamous chuckle!}

Both Chorus:
still don’t wanna taste your love
those waterfalls is all dried up and gone
it’s like Mary J Blige said “I don’t want no drama”
and you’re still trying to kick that game with me
It’s a new decade and I ain’t the same
So you best get outta my face
Outta my face

Both Chorus:
still don’t wanna taste your love
those waterfalls is all dried up and gone
it’s like Mary J Blige said “I don’t want no drama”
and you’re still trying to kick that game with me
It’s a new decade and I ain’t the same
So you best get outta my face
Outta my face

Both Chorus:
still don’t wanna taste your love
those waterfalls is all dried up and gone
it’s like Mary J Blige said “I don’t want no drama”
and you’re still trying to kick that game with me
It’s a new decade and I ain’t the same
So you best get outta my face
Cause we back in this place
